Good news can be hard to come by these days, so I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to provide some.
I’m proud to announce that we have launched a new website, tampabaybeacons.com, that will give current (and hopefully future) readers the complete picture of the journalism we produce each week.
Many readers only know us by the paper they receive each week or the website they visit on a regular basis. We hope TBNweekly.com, Suncoastnews.com and Tampabeacon.com provided you with useful information about your community or neighbors. But we have a lot more to offer, and we’re pleased to now have the platform to showcase it.
Did you know we produce 14 newspapers each week in communities around Pinellas, Pasco, Hillsborough and Hernando counties, and we have four websites to accompany them?
That’s 728 newspapers each year and a heck of a lot of web posts and social media updates.
Our new website will be bringing all our content under one digital roof. So now you can check out all of our coverage from around the Tampa Bay area in one convenient location.
This will help streamline processes for us, but, more importantly, you can now read even more community journalism from neighbors in your county and beyond.
But don’t worry, we’ve set the site up so you’ll easily be able to find your slice of paradise and the content that matters to you. That still includes plenty of stories about local government, small businesses, schools, nonprofits, civic clubs and ordinary people who do extraordinary things.
So, whether you are looking for the latest news from the gulf beaches, what’s happening at the Krate in Wesley Chapel, or which slugger is lighting it up at King High, you won’t have to look far. We’ve got it all covered.
You might even find some new features that we hope you enjoy, including a spotlight on our food and high school sports coverage.
You’ll also be able to easily find and check out e-editions of all 14 of our print newspapers.
With the new website comes a new slate of social media channels that we hope you’ll check out. So, please look up Tampa Bay Beacons on Facebook, Instagram and Nextdoor to get news delivered directly to your feeds.
Thank you for your support while we continue our mission to inform and elevate the communities we serve by providing trusted community journalism and advertising.
And stay tuned because we have some more exciting news on the way.
