Hurricane Preparedness Expo

5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 25. Dunedin City Hall, 737 Louden Ave. The expo will bring together a wide range of local, county, and state experts who will share strategies on hurricane preparedness, emergency management, flood mitigation, debris collection, resiliency planning and more. The expo portion of the evening will take place from 5:30-6:45 p.m., followed by speakers from 7-8 p.m. Prefilled sandbags will be available to attendees on a first-come, first-served basis. Free.

First Germans in America

The Pinellas Genealogy Society will discuss how a ship full of German families escaping religious persecution headed to the shores of the New World, which began a great migration in the 1600s. A watershed moment in history that has been long forgotten, until now. Learn about the political unrest and religious persecution which drove these cousins of William Penn to help found his new colony.
